Comfortable walking shoes (not sneakers). A light jacket — weather changes fast near water. Sunscreen even on cloudy days. Bring water and a light snack. Binoculars if you're interested in birds. A camera or phone works too.

"We weren't sure about the cliff path at first. Worried it'd be too much. But the route is brilliant — you can do as much or as little as you want. Stopped at every bench and took our time. Best part of our week."
"The harbour walk is perfect for days when I don't feel like going far. It's flat, there's water views the whole way, and I can pop into a café halfway. Doesn't feel rushed. I've done it probably twenty times now and still notice new things."
"Brought my camera to get some nature shots. The bird spots they mention actually work — saw a heron three times. The guides are clear and the maps are proper. No confusion, no getting lost. That's what matters at this stage."
